2019 won’t be the year of aero - 2018 was undeniably the year of the aero bike and the gravel bike. We saw amazing new aero bikes released by Cannondale, Trek, Specialized, Cervelo, BMC among others, so we think we probably won't see too many new aero bikes in 2019. And we had gravel bikes from, well, everyone… So what other models in brands' ranges will get some love? Expect some major new updates to endurance and lightweight models by a number of major manufacturers.

Public hire bikes: uber e-bikes - Since the rise of the public hire bike, the backlash to the dockless ones is going to continue. Instead, could we see the rise of hire e-bikes? Take a look at the success of the Uber Jump e-bikes in San Francisco, they have seen a rise of 15% in the number of journeys on the Jump bike since their launch, while journeys in Uber cars have dropped by 10%. Now Uber's rival Lyft are investing in a similar product. And uber have announced that they will launch their jump scheme in Europe next year. Could this be the model that finally gets hire bikes right?

What do you think we'll see as a cycling trend in 2019? Let us know in the comments.
