Sturgis Motorcycle Rally One-Eyed Jack's Saloon and Buffalo Chip Campground

Added by AutomotiveUploads
My first trip to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally was for the 75th Anniversary in 2015. My buddy Rudy and I drove out with the toy hauler so we could get there faster than we could if we rode. Once we arrived we set up camp at Buffalo Chip Campground and met up with our good pal Mark. He rode out from La Grande Oregon and had to stay in a tent for a night or two until we arrived with the hotel on wheels. We did some riding over the next couple of days that I'll share with you in the next two or three videos but for now, this video is about the trip out, Buffalo Chip and One-Eyed Jack's Saloon in downtown Sturgis, SD. Buffalo Chip is a great place to stay but keep in mind you have to rent your space for the 10 days, whether you stay that entire time or not. You also have to have campground passes so you can see the live bands. The headliner was Def Leppard and while they were great, you have to get used to the smell because a lot of drunk humans are using porta potties in the area. Not horrible but at the end of a long day of riding in the sun and having to stand to watch the show I just want you to be aware of what you'll experience. I do recommend the Chip to anyone wanting to stay there for at least a week. We made our way to Downtown Sturgis to see the vendors and the bars and it didn't disappoint. Lots of people, bars, food and activity in general happening. We wound up at One-Eyed Jack's and stayed for a an hour or so. They were super cool with me filming so as you can see in this video...I did. It's a fun place. In the next video you'll see Spearfish Canyone and Deadwood South Dakota. AWESOME!!!
