The new Panigale V4 is the essence of sport motorcycling in its most exhilarating and pure form: redefined design, new engine, state-of-the-art chassis and innovative electronics: a concentrated blend of Ducati technology, style and performance. The new Panigale V4 S Corse is an authentic celebration of Ducati’s racing spirit, with an exclusive livery inspired to the official colours of the Ducati Team MotoGP.

The Ducati Style Centre gave shape to the character of the new Panigale V4 S Corse and its performance following what for Ducati are the canons of Italian sports elegance: large and soft surfaces interrupted by few bold marks. The result is a refined and simple bike, designed to maximise performance.

The Panigale V4 Speciale completes the range and takes the concept of Italian sports bikes to an extreme. An exclusive and dedicated livery; Ducati Performance titanium racing exhaust by Akrapovic for 226 hp of power; components in carbon and aluminium worked from the solid. The new Panigale V4 Speciale is produced in a limited and numbered series of 1,500 motorcycles. Details that make the difference, unique and distinguished thanks to the three-colour livery and many dedicated technical elements, like the billet steering plate with screen-printed logo and progressive number, or the seat covered with precious Ultrasuede.

The new Desmosedici Stradale engine has been designed based on the experience gained in MotoGP. The typical approach used in competitions is found in the extraordinary power and torque values: the 90° V4 with a displacement of 1,103 cm³, the counter-rotating crankshaft and the 4 valves per cylinder with desmodromic distribution that reaches 214 hp (157.5 kW ) of maximum power at 13,000 rpm and 122 Nm (12.44 kgm) of maximum torque at 10,000 rpm.

The Ducati Panigale V4 S Corse engine has a power of 214 hp, at 13,000 rpm, and a torque of 123.56 Nm at 10,000 rpm. Despite its high performance, the Desmosedici Stradale engine allows long maintenance intervals, which involve the control of the valve play every 24,000 km (the coupons every 12,000 km / 1 year). The engine of the Panigale V4 S Corse is the only one in the sports segment to have the 90 ° V configuration and to use technologies such as the rotating counter drive shaft and the "twin pulse" ignition order. The already high power of the Desmosedici Stradale engine in series configuration grows further, reaching 226 hp, mounting the racing exhaust completely titanium, made by Akrapovič on Ducati Corse specifications.


This engine is designed to be mounted backwards by 42 °, to optimize weight distribution, use larger radiators and advance the swingarm pivot as much as possible. The engine has also been designed to be a structural element of the frame. At the front of the upper half-casing and in the head of the rear bench the connections to the main frame have been obtained. In addition, the base also acts as a fastening of the rear suspension and the swingarm. With a weight of 64.9 kg the Desmosedici Stradale is only 2.2 kg heavier than the 1,285cc Superquadro twin-cylinder. The crankcases are made of aluminum, cast in gravity and coupled with horizontal cutting. The upper half-casing integrates the four aluminum cylinder barrels with nikasil coating which ensures protection against wear and low friction. In the barrels of the cylinders slide pistons of 81 mm in diameter, with two segments, low friction, plus scraper. They are molded in aluminum and exploit the "box in box" technology which allows the height of the mantle and the thickness under the sky to be contained, all to the advantage of reduced friction and inertial loads, maintaining the necessary strength and stiffness. The compression ratio is 14: 1. The pistons are coupled to steel forged connecting rods with a center distance of 101.8 mm.
