Gridlife South 2017 - HPDE Intermediate - Frustrating Session
Added by AutomotiveUploads
Unfortunately, this is an example of a somewhat typical HPDE Intermediate session for me at Gridlife. Track was often covered in rocks and other debris from the drift sessions right before, people unfortunately lost it more often than I have ever seen, and traffic, traffic, traffic. At least this session went its full length! Many didn't. I sound frustrated and, frankly, I was. I really would expect an organization that offers HPDE (E=Education) to quickly clean off the track so folks aren't affected by loose gravel, etc., especially since we were often behind schedule by up to 40-minutes at times and work was happening elsewhere. I know this is Road Atlanta that is responsible for that, but it needs to be a requirement for future Gridlife to get the track clean for HPDE. It's as if they used HPDE to clean off the track for Time Attack... a bit unfair.
