Aston Martin has chosen the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed to unveil the new Vantage Heritage Racing Editions. Designed to celebrate 60 years since the 1-2 win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and 70 years since they first raced at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, they’re one of the main attractions at the company’s stand on Lord March’s domain.

Production of the new special edition Vantage has been limited to 60. Each one will be offered with a choice of six different liveries, inspired by some of Aston’s most iconic racers, like the Razor Blade, Ulster, DB3S, AMR1 and DBR9, whereas the final offering is inspired by the modern world of motorsport.

Created by ‘Q by Aston Martin’, the automaker’s personalization division, the Vantage Heritage Racing Editions get a new body kit. The carbon fiber extended front splitter, dive planes and rear wing have improved the downforce at 306 km/h (190 mph) by 194 kg (428 lbs). Also, all examples feature the sports plus pack, carbon fiber interior details and lightweight wheels.

One of the main points found on the front lawn of the Goodwood House is a massive sculpture. The central feature of Aston Martin’s exhibition is 30 meters (98 feet) high, was designed by Gerry Judah and features the Le Mans winning DBR1 racing towards the sky on a never-ending racetrack.

“It is a great honor to be celebrated at Goodwood Festival of Speed this year”, said CEO Andy Palmer. “Racing is a crucial component in Aston Martin’s DNA and it is something that we have pursued since the inception of the company more than 100 years ago. We have raced all around the world but the core passion and commitment that we’ve displayed has remained the same since our first race on Aston Hill.”
