2020 Hyundai Sonata Introducing: All-New Hyundai Sonata Sedan Experience https://goo.gl/WuyAhp

When SangYup Lee, head of the Hyundai Global Design Center, said the 2020 Hyundai Sonata would be a clean break from the current model, we hope you braced yourself for big changes. Recently, Hyundai revealed the initial details and images of the 2020 Sonata, and it is precisely what Lee promised.

Imagine an Audi A6, an Aston Martin, and a Honda Civic all mashed together into one soup and reduced down to just their best parts. The resulting mixture would be basically what we have in the 2020 Hyundai Sonata. This mixture includes sleek headlights with trick LED signature lighting that connects to the chrome hood trim and swoops around the windows. Around back, the Civic-like C-shaped are connected by a red strip that visually widens the back end. From the profile, the all-new 2020 Sonata takes on a sporty four-door coupe look, giving it a little European flair.

Beyond its new looks, the 2020 Hyundai Sonata is also 1.2 inches lower, 1 inch wider, and 1.75 inches longer than the current Sonata. It rides on a 1.4-inch-longer wheelbase.
Inside, Hyundai exercises a less-is-more design scheme with the 2020 Sonata. The wing-like dash is lower and thinner, making the interior feel more airy and spacious. Even the smallest details, like the thin air vents, the two-screen infotainment system, and the push-button shifter add to the minimalist concept inside. Of course, this is all pushed upscale with its available premium materials and light color options.

There is still no word on what’s doing under the 2020 Hyundai Sonata’s skin, but we could see a simplified engine lineup that includes a standard 2.4-liter engine and an optional 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. With this sportier look, there is also still the possibility of a Sonata N with a potent 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an upgraded chassis. We will learn more about the 2020 Sonata’s greasy bits as we approach its release date.

Hyundai continues to focus on safety, and though there are no official details on what safety equipment the 2020 Sonata will feature, we expect it to continue with the latest in safety gear and its IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating.

Pricing & Release Date
There is no official word on the 2020 Sonata's arrival in showrooms, so stay tuned for updates. With its significant updates, we expect a small price hike relative to the current Sonata’s pricing scheme, which ranges from $23,420 to $33,020
